The basic material used for production of FAKRO roof windows is Pine wood. Thevalueof wood as an ecological and safe material is known for generations.
The companyr etrieves the raw materials mainly from Polish and North European resources which are oriented towards supply of this raw material, where the volume of growth is much greater than the volume of material retrieved. A young stand of trees absorbs few times more of carbon dioxide than a mature one.
The preference of products made of wood derived from rational recourses gives us the chance to increase the area of forests allowing to live in an ecological environment.
Timber used for production is seasoned and dried in computer controlled chambers to 12 percent humidity level.The drying complex is powered with heat derived from scrap materials burned in the ecological incinerators.
